Everyone, behold Hopey’s debut!

I love Hopey! He’s my most affectionate furbaby (after Guigui who, in my mind, is living his best life with his new furparent in Paris). He always purrs loudly like a motorcycle whenever he sees me, and he always tries to accompany me when I’m on the toilet. Yes, sorry TMI, but if you’re a fellow furparent you’ll understand. LOL.

His name used to be Huzi which was supposed to mean “little tiger” but there was some miscommunication with ChatGPT. After months of calling my kitten “Huzi”, I mentioned it in passing to the AI app, and it said that it meant “beard” or something like that. I was aghast! So I asked Huzi if he’s okay with being called Hopey instead, and he seemed to take to it better than he ever did with Huzi. Hopey is for hope, and I just needed his name to rhyme with everyone else’s. (Because we have a theme, dammit!)

Hope, because Misty had just passed away that time, and I needed to keep the hope in my heart alive more than ever.

He also has this little twirl at the tip of his tail. The twirl and his coloring he inherited from Misty, definitely.

In this comic, my babies are growing up, and too fast!

Hopey and Chibi, you can get bigger and fatter but please stay the same!
