Of branches and tangents

I’ve been trying to start a drabble – something short and relatively OK. I’m not aiming for a multi-chapter project; just something I can say I finished and posted out here.

That drabble, like the previous former drabble that I outlined, has become longer and slowly turning into a multipart work.

Whenever I try to make something, the beginning starts to have its own beginning, the end extends to at least three outcomes for a new ending, the whole thing develops a prequel (branching out to chapters), a side story, and a sequel. I get lost in the branches and the roots that it gets a bit difficult to focus on the tree. It’s frustrating, maddening, and it keeps happening.

I guess now I can say I just finished this rant. 🙊
